As Event & Programme Manager, you'll coordinate and administer educational events, professional development activities, programmes and initiatives that support dental professionals at all stages of their careers. From assisting students and young dentists in their transition from dental school to practice to organising in-person and online learning opportunities, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the professional development and support of NZDA’s membership.
About the Role:
- Coordinate membership services and programmes for NZDA student and young dentist members. Including the Student Observation Programme, Student Days, Mentorship Programme and Graduate Professional Development Programmes.
- Organise and administer all NZDA educational events and professional development activities both online and in person.
- Support strategies to promote membership retention and generate support from sponsors, and the dental industry, for NZDA young dentist services and professional development activities.
- Provide integral employment support via the NZDA Employment Fair, House Surgeon Recruitment Process and Employers’ Guide.
- Provide administrative support to the Young Dentist Action Group and work closely with the Director (Membership Services) and Director (Education) to develop and maintain educational and professional development initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in educational event and programme management.
- Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate reports and budgets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage, influence, and build lasting relationships with stakeholders, particularly young professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), database management, website CMS, and email campaign systems.
- A motivated self-starter with strong time management, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative team approach.
