Wade Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Vehicle Service Technician with a can-do service attitude. 

Your expertise and skills will be rewarded with a place within Wade Group’s close-knit manufacturing team based in Te Rapa, Hamilton.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of automotive equipment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance and repairs on vehicles
• Checking of vehicle faults, working out what is causing them, dismantling, rebuilding, and repairing parts or systems (including electrical).
• Recording and maintaining accurate paperwork for our customers and Wade Group.
• Conducting extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations and instructions
• Contributing towards a positive culture of Health, Safety & Wellness, plus the continual improvement design of products and vehicles.

Skills and Experience

• Ideally, hold a trade qualification in automotive or engineering or have experience in coachbuilding.
• Ability to interpret plans and instructions and to problem-solve vehicle coachbuilding issues.
• Strong technical skills with a can-do attitude with a focus on producing quality work
• With the ability to communicate and work autonomously but as part of a larger team in a manufacturing environment.
• Full New Zealand Driver's licence, as there will be times when you will be expected to bring travel to the customer to complete the service
