As a Commercial Installer for ARA Hardware in Wellington, you will be responsible for the prompt, safe, and accurate installation of door, window, bathroom, and general hardware across a range of commercial projects. The role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail in every installation to ensure customer satisfaction and to maintain ARA Hardware’s reputation as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install door, window, bathroom, and general hardware to projects as directed, working efficiently and in line with company procedures
• Interpret plans and technical materials related to hardware installation and work effectively with various substrates including timber, aluminium, steel, and tiles
• Use morticing machines, jigs, templates, and relevant hand tools proficiently to complete high-quality installations
• Maintain accurate timesheets and ensure all paperwork, including QA documentation, is completed accurately and on time
• Liaise with customers and internal staff to coordinate hardware supply and installation, ensuring quality service, follow-up, and defect-free handovers

Skills & Experience:

• Proven ability to work independently, with a strong focus on meeting project deadlines
• Trade certification (builder, locksmith, or related) and a current, full New Zealand driver’s licence
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve overall project goals
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to liaise effortlessly with customers, project teams, and suppliers
