As an Installer for ARA Hardware in Wellington, you will be responsible for the prompt, safe, and accurate installation of door, window, bathroom, and general hardware across a range of commercial projects.
Working independently, you’ll deliver an installation service that reflects ARA Hardware’s reputation as an industry leader demonstrating precision, attention to detail and a strong customer focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install door, window, bathroom, and general hardware to meet project deadlines agreed upon with the client and project manager.
- Interpret plans and technical materials related to hardware installation to complete installs correct first time.
- Use morticing machines, jigs, templates, and relevant hand tools proficiently to complete high-quality installations
- Maintain accurate timesheets and ensure all paperwork, is completed accurately and on time
- Connect and communicate with customers, project managers and internal staff to ensure you can deliver a quality service with defect-free handovers
Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to work independently, with strong planning and organisation skills to meet project deadlines.
- Ideally, a Trade certification with trade or install experience working with various materials and following plans and kits provided.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to liaise effortlessly with customers, project manager, and workshop on plan and progress of work.
- Strong attention to detail to install once and install right for our customers.
- A full New Zealand Driver Licence is required, as on completion of training, a work van will be assigned to you to maintain and use for completing jobs independently.
