An opportunity has arisen for a driven Management Accountant to take the lead in this varied role covering aspects of management, cost, and financial accountancy. Located on the city fringe, you’ll work closely with multiple business units, turning data into insights that shape smart decisions and support long-term growth. Your hands-on experience and understanding of construction and service operations will help drive our continued success.
About the role:
- Manage month-end accounting processes, journals, reconciliations, and reports
- Prepare accurate management reports, budgets, and rolling forecasts with stakeholders
- Analyse operational and financial data to highlight trends and opportunities
- Support capital projects, commercial planning, and long-term contract management
- Ensure IRD compliance and uphold internal financial controls and policies
Skills and experience:
- CA or CPA qualified, with proven experience in management accounting for mid-sized organisations with a turnover of $25–40 million.
- Hands-on expertise in month-end processes, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ideally within the construction or service industry
- Confident working with multiple data sources, project accounting, and optimising ERP systems
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- A clear and passionate communicator who brings energy, pride, and purpose to every task
