During these meetings, what you need to do is:
🟢 Be punctual - Respect candidates' time by being punctual for interviews. Avoid last-minute rescheduling whenever possible, as it shows professionalism and consideration for their schedules.
🟩 Engage Actively - Demonstrate active engagement during interviews by maintaining eye contact, nodding, and providing non-verbal cues of attentiveness. This creates a more comfortable and interactive interview environment.
❇️ Empathetic Communication- Show empathy by acknowledging candidates' feelings and concerns. Address their questions and provide clear explanations about the role and the interview process to reduce anxiety.
💚 Timely Feedback- Provide prompt feedback to candidates after the interview, even if it's to communicate the need for additional time for evaluation. Timely communication reflects respect and keeps candidates informed.

At a minimum, we encourage organisations to carry out two reference checks with the candidate's most recent Managers or Supervisors.
Depending on the position and the company, other pre-employment checks could involve medical and/or drug tests, credit check, MOJ (police) check, ACC claims history check and psychometric assessments (ability test and personality questionnaires).
Talent Connection is SHL certified, if you wish to incorporate a psychometric test as part of the recruitment process, let us know.
