SBA Newmarket is seeking an ambitious, results-driven Senior Accountant to provide high-quality end-to-end accounting services. With strong relationship-building qualities and a solutions-focused mindset, you will drive business growth while enhancing SBA Newmarket’s reputation for excellence.

About the Role:

• Prepare financial statements, manage tax planning, and oversee compliance responsibilities for a diverse client portfolio
• Manage workflow to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings and the provision of advisory services
• Supervise and mentor staff, review work and maintain quality standards
• Support the Managing Director with financial analysis, reporting, and strategic growth initiatives

Skills and Experience:

• CA qualified with at least five years of NZ public practice experience
• Expertise in NZ tax compliance and financial reporting, strong knowledge of IRD requirements and a proven proficiency in Xero
• Ability to build and manage client relationships, deliver strategic advice, and engage stakeholders effectively
• Excellent communication skills with a professional and enthusiastic approach to collaboration and problem solving
• Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work autonomously while contributing to team and firm goals
