Operations Manager

We seek a hands-on and proactive Operations Manager to support the day-to-day running of a small team of technicians, as they install and deliver a repair service - representing this highly reputable brand across Auckland.
Reporting to the Director and Branch Manager this newly created role will focus on providing key people and project management support, to raise the service quality which will lead to future business growth.
About the role
- Manage, support, mentor and drive the development of the technician’s technical capability to enable them to deliver exceptional services to clients to a high brand standard.
- Develop and implement strategies that will enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, as well as a team culture that is driven to continually improve.
- Monitor and analyse service performance, including quality checks on site to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilise your technical expertise to lead by example and proactively resolve customer issues to ensure a high service delivery over the phone or location with the technician
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all service-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resource allocation.
Skills and experience
- An experienced people leader with a proven track record of building team capability within the trade industry.
- Proven experience in project management with strong job management systems and Microsoft Office skills to effectively schedule, track and communicate job status.
- A technical trade background, where your ability to understand technical products and drawings has enabled you to thrive creating effective resolutions.
- Proficient in technical problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards and health and safety.
