We are looking for an Accounts Officer to join our close-knit team to cover parental leave for 16 months.

About the Role

• Manage accounts receivable end-to-end, ensuring timely collection and accurate records

• Complete bank and Xero reconciliations, month-end journals, and maintain the fixed asset register

• Process fortnightly payroll for 18 staff via iPayroll

• Support the Director and external accountant with monthly management reports and financial analysis

• Document all processes and procedures to strengthen internal controls and safeguard business continuity

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CA qualification not essential

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounts or finance role, ideally within construction

• Hands-on reconciliations, journals, and financial reporting experience using Xero

• Payroll processing experience, iPayroll knowledge, an advantage

• Organised, detail-driven, and self-directed — comfortable managing competing priorities

• Full driver’s license
