Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable professional to take ownership of the end-to-end AP function. You will come from a warehousing and/or project-based environment and enjoy taking responsibility, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where your experience and judgement will make a direct contribution to the financial performance of the business.

What you’ll do

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including matching invoices to goods receipts and supplier statements

• Investigate discrepancies, log unmatched invoices for branch follow-up and resolve supplier queries

• Prepare account batches for payment, ensuring accurate and timely processing in the accounting system

• Manage supplier communications and the shared accounts email, maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Maintain accurate financial records and filing, while supporting the wider finance team with accounts receivable, debtor receipting and general administration

What you’ll bring

• At least five years’ accounts payable experience, including a minimum of three years in a warehousing and/or project-based business

• Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and a commitment to accurate, timely processing

• Clear, professional communication skills, with the confidence to investigate discrepancies and follow up with suppliers and branches

• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach, with high integrity and the ability to contribute effectively to a busy finance team
