We seek a hands-on and proactive Operations Manager to support the day-to-day running of a small team of technicians, as they install and deliver repair services across Auckland. In this newly created role, you will report to the Director and Branch Manager, focusing on providing key people and project management support, raising service quality, and contributing to future business growth.

About the role

• Manage, support, mentor, and drive the development of the team's technical capabilities, ensuring an exceptional service experience for all customers
• Develop and implement strategies that will enhance customer satisfaction, boost operational efficiency, and embed a team culture underpinned by continuous improvement
• Monitor and analyse service performance, including on-site quality checks
• Showcase your technical expertise to proactively resolve customer issues
• Act as the primary point of contact for all service-related inquiries
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless service delivery and resource allocation

Skills and experience

• An experienced people leader with a demonstrated record of building team capability within the trade industry
• Proven experience in project management with strong job management systems and Microsoft Office skills to effectively schedule, track, and communicate job status
• A technical trade background, with an ability to understand technical products and drawings
• Proficient in problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards and promoting health and safety within the workplace
